Rothay Manor is situated in the center for visiting all the great places and sights in the Lake District. The nearest city is Ambleside, a five minute, level amble from the guesthouse. There are a lot of circular strolls that able to be made from the inn. Take a lake cruise on Windermere (only 400 meters away), Coniston (where Donald Campbell made his speed record attempts) or Ullswater. The homes of Beatrix Potter, William Wordsworth and John Ruskin are all surrounding.

Embedded in nice, panoramic gardens, this regency farmstead guesthouse is found in the center of the Lake District. Situated just a quarter mile from Lake Windermere and a short meander from the very heart of Ambleside, the inn is superbly located for strolling, cycling, sightseeing or just relaxing. This regency grange hotel was constructed in 1825 as a summer months residence for a Liverpool cotton merchant. The structure is grade II listed and holds a lot of period properties. Fresh bunchs of flowers and antiques provide the feel of a hospitable privately-owned cottage, where lounges are perfect for soothing over siesta tea or pre-dinner drinks. Rothay Manor is notable for its agreeable, homely, relaxed and familiar atmosphere, supplemented by wonderful food and wine. Customers have free access to a surrounding recreation club. Families and disabled visitors are welcome.

Important information

No single night bookings are obtainable on a Saturday. There is a minimum of three night's staying over a bank vacation weekend.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to eight days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. Whether cancelled later, a fixed amount of GBP 80. 00 will be charged. In case of no-show, the 1st night will be charged. Kids and Extra Bed Policy: All kids are welcome. All kids under 12 years staying free when using existing bedding. All kids under two years staying free for cots. All older kids or groun-ups are charged GBP ten. 00 per night and individual for additional beds. Maximum holding capacity of supplementary beds/babycots in a suite is two. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. Vat and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Amenities charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet connection: Wireless internet connection is obtainable in public zone and is free. Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the apartment rate. Car park: Free social car park is obtainable on place. Pets: Pets are not allowed. The guesthouse reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
