Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 60. 00 will be charged. Whether cancelled later or in case of no-show, the entire price of the reservation will be charged. Kids and Extra Bed Policy: All kids are welcome. All kids under 12 years staying free when using existing bedding. All kids under two years staying free for cots. All older kids or groun-ups are charged GBP 20. 00 per night and individual for additional beds. Maximum holding capacity of additional beds/babycots in a apartment is 1. Deposit Policy: A fixed amount of GBP 60 per apartment will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Amenities charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet connection: Internet by means of modem is obtainable in public zone and is free. Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the apartment rate.   • Breakfast, suppers and conventional Sunday snacks are catered by amicable staff in the breakfast room, which provides a desk d'hôte carte menu for visitors and non-residents.
  • The evening meal is catered each night of the month, except Sunday when we provide a conventional English roast snack.
  • As the inn is owned by a temperance organisation, it's unlicensed and is one of the few entirely non smoking hotels in Bath, creating an amiable ambiance conducive to recreation.
  • Our fabulous breakfasts have won the coveted Green Award for fresh local make, and we are committed to using the most high quality ingredients and preparation methods for all the meals we prepare.

Travel information

Driving From the East and North exit the m4 at Junction 18. Follow the a46 towards Bath. After approximately 12 kilometers take the a4 in towards the town for approximately 1. 5km where you should turn left into the a36 towards Warminster. Drive approximately 500m till you get to a mini roundabout, turn right and take the following filter lane on the right which takes you into Great Pulteney boulevard. The Carfax Hotel spans 3 houses, 13 to 15 in the midst of the st. From the South approach the City on the A36 and following signs for London and the M4. As you approach the town you'll come to a mini roundabout with a garden on yout left hand side. Take the left turning and drive for approximately 150m and turn right in the filter lane and you'll be entering Great Pulteney Street. From the West. Take the A36 (lower Bristol Road)heading into the town. Continue to follow the signs for London, Warminster and the M4. Pass under the railroad by Bath Spa station. Continue on the A36 and you'll pass under the railroad again. Once you have passed the Ayrlington and County Hotels on your left, turn left at the roundabout and follow the highway into Great Pulteney Street. Turn left and you'll see the Carfax Hotel in the midst of the avenue on the opposite side; numbers 13 to 15. By Train & Coach Bath Spa Railway Station and the major Bus station are approximately 15-20 mins flat stroll away from the inn, and we would encourage you to take the stroll as it passes the Abbey, the Parade Gardens and Pulteney Bridge en route.

Carfax is totally unlicensed and does not accept corkage If you intend to arrive after 21:30, you must report the inn as the facade table is only open till 22: 00 and you'll need to be informed of the late check-in procedure..

All of the hotel’s suites are individualy colored and every room is equipped with its own particular fascination. There are 3 distinct bedroom categories: standard, plus and exceptional. These categories relate to the size and the site of the suites. The exceptional and plus suites tend to be on the 1st and 2nd floors and are larger with typical high Georgian ceilings and enormous sash windows.
