Henrietta Street, on which The Redcar Hotel stands, was planned between 1788 and 1792 by Sir William Pulteney and named after his daughter Henrietta Laura Pulteney.
3 Georgian city houses were 1st converted into a Hotel in 1949.
As the premises in the golden peaceful location, it was later sold to an organization owned by the eminent entertainers Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck, who then spent an ample amount of money extending and developing this luxurious hotel.
