This inn nestles in the peaceable countryside of Monkton Combe, encircled by good mountains and valleys. Recently renovated lodging houses seven luxury bedrooms with bathrooms or showers. There are five doubles, one twin and 1 single suite. The pub proposes an unofficial district to unwind with a drink or have dinner. Menus are changed regularly and comprises of brasserie lunches, light snacks and a la carte selections. Local ingredients are used where possible.
You can have a rest with a drink by the open fire or in the park. Our two buildings were primarily constructed by William Harold, a carpenter, who built a cottage and workshop around 1750. In 1871, William Harold III converted the cottage into a social cottage and in 1981, the workshops were converted into bed & breakfast lodging. We have diligently restored and enhanced the annex to hold seven luxury bedrooms and bathrooms. They have all been purposed to maximise your comfort. Every has a flat screen TV with Sky, a radio, apartment amenities, Wi-Fi internet connection access and facilities of making tea/coffee.
Area information
There are seven excellent strolls in the Monkton Combe dale. We able to organise: - both clay pigeon year round or live bird shooting during the season. - tickets for all Bath Rugby home toys from September to May. - visits to the recently opened Thermae Spa at particular rates. For narrow boating, we are one mile from the Kennet and Avon Canal and able to suggest apt companies to use. You are able to stroll or cycle along the canal. There is a cycle route adjacent to the pub and bikes able to be hired surrounding.

By auto from Bath: - Follow the A36 for Warminster. - After approximately four miles turn right at sign for Monkton Combe. - Continue direct at crossroads into the countryside. - Wheelwrights Arms is on the left past the school.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to two days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. Whether cancelled later or in case of no-show, the 1st night will be charged.
