Since 13-th century Bradford was a centre of the West Riding wool industry. It was a boomtown of the Industrial Revolution, and among the earliest industrialized settlements, quickly becoming the "wool capital of the world", but from the middle of the 20-th century textile sector fell into decline and now tourism occupies the leading position in the income of the city. The city boasts its attractions such as a World Heritage Site, the National Media Museum, Saltaire and Cartwright Hall.
