Slightly further afield are the beaches of North Devon, with Saunton Sands and Croyde, well known for its surfing, approximately 35 min drive away.

Quick description

In the brilliant North Devon Countryside, perched on the River Taw amidst the vivid scenery of the Tarka Trail, this relaxed hotel provides a restful escape to nature. The amicable state hotel has an AA Rosette for its lovely, conventional food made using wonderful local make. Local ciders and Real Ale are catered in the brasserie and you are able to enjoy a meal on the park verandah. Apartments have a flat-screen TV and free wi-fi access. The Fox & Hounds Country Hotel has five miles of salmon and trout fishing, and shooting, riding and strolling are not far from. The guesthouse is a wonderful base for exploration North Devon, Dartmoor and Exmoor. Pets and kids are welcome.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. Whether cancelled later or in case of no-show, the 1st night will be charged. Kids and Extra Bed Policy: All kids are welcome. All kids under three years staying free when using existing bedding. All kids under two years staying free for cots. All older kids or groun-ups are charged GBP 25. 00 per night and individual for additional beds. Maximum holding capacity of additional beds/babycots in a suite is 1.
