About Dundee, UK

Dundee is the fourth-largest city in Scotland on the north bank of the River Tay's estuary which feeds into the North Sea.

The history of the city begins with the Picts in the Iron Age. Dundee has a long history of weaving, it caused the city to grow rapidly. Today, Dundee has two universities—the University of Abertay Dundee and the University of Dundee, also it is home to the Scottish Dance Theatre, Contemporary Arts centre and the Sensation Science Centre which help children understand the five human senses. Moreover annually Dundee holds summer festival of street entertainment such as Guitar and Mountain Film Festivals, and one of the largest festivals of Scotland – The Food & Flower Festival which is on in September.
