And whether it's shopping you're after, Princes Street is exactly a ten minutes stroll away. By Foot: The directions presented are for what we consider to be the easiest strolling route that avoids lots of steps and steep mountains. A quicker route is listed below. The reception desk is at Kindcaid's Court situated on the left-hand side, corner of Guthrie Street and Cowgate. Alternatively from Waverly Station, you are able to take a directly at the Market Street exit. Turn right up Cockburn Street, over the Royal Mile and down Blair Street to Cowgate. Turn right into Cowgate and the hostel entry is on Guthrie Street, the 1st avenue on your left. From St. Andrew's bus station, head to Princes Street and then to North Bridge. Stroll along North Bridge, across the Royal Mile and continue along South Bridge. Turn right into Chambers Street and then right again into Guthrie Street. The lobby to the hostel is situated at the foot of Guthrie Street on the left-hand side. Parking zone is available on-site.
