  • The guesthouse is located in the refined Bloomsbury district, once home to Dickens and Virginia Woolf comprising Grade II listed Georgian town-houses, almost 200 years ancient.
  • This lends the guesthouse it’s particular character, full of attractive original properties, with every room embellished differently, making the staying feel more personal than at a uniform looking up-to-date hotel.
  • The guesthouse has been with the same family since 1964 and is managed by Lucia Geyer along with her 3 sons, Hans, Stefan, Karl, and daughter Maria-Lisa.
  • We goal to propose a social facilities at admirable value for money, offering a clear & cozy home from home; somewhere you can have a rest and feel welcome, and certainly indulge in one of the “best breakfasts in town”, where you are able to everytime ask for more..

  • We are glad to procide our recently cooked conventional full English breakfast 'one of one of the best breakfasts in town', as the ideal start to the day- and whether it is not enough you are able to everytime ask for more! Orange Juice Tea, Coffee or Hot chocolate Cereals, eggs (a choice of fried, scrambled or boiled), bacon (premium rindless back), sausage, plum peeled tomato, baked beans, with a choice of sauces and condiments, Toast (brown and white), butter, jam and marmalade..

Area information

The guesthouse comrises from grade II listed Georgian terraced houses that retain original properties. Tavistock Place, named after the ground host, the Duke of Bedford, Marquess of Tavistock, was constructed circa 1807, planned by James Burton. The inn is located in Bloomsbury, the central, park-filled area well known for it is literary figures such as Charles Dickens and Virginia Woolf's 'Bloomsbury Set', both lived just around the corner on Tavistock Square. Tavistock Place is also home to the original Mary Ward center, an excellent sample of Art Nouveau in London, and at No. 33 Jerome K. Jerome wrote his well known comedy 'Three Men in a boat'.

We are a two minute amble from Russell Square subway station (on the piccadilly line) and five mins from Euston and King’s Cross/St. Pancras (underground, mainline trains, & the soon-to-be-finished brand new International Chunnel Railink). There are also numerous bus routes that connect us to a lot of parts of London. When flying in from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, Luton and London City international Airports travel to the guesthouse is easy and straightforward. Feel free of charge to call us for directions From metro (tube) stations- From Russell Square: cross Bernard St. by the foot passenger crossing, stroll direct to Marchmont Street, continue for two blocks. At Tavistock Place turn left. From Euston Rd: pass the bus stops, cross the marketplace opposite the station, stroll down Upper Woburn Place, at Tavistock Place turn left and we are on the right hand side. From King’s Cross/St. Pancras: Walk up Euston Rd (towards Euston station), turn left into Judd St. and then right into Tavistock Place, we are then on the left hand side. From the Airports- From Heathrow: Piccadilly Line tube direct to Russell Square (quickest) From Gatwick: Thameslink train to King’s Cross then tube to Russell Sq. (quickest) or Gatwick Express to Victoria, then tube to Euston. From Stanstead: Stanstead Express to Tottenham Hale then tube to Euston (quickest) or to Liverpool St. then tube to King’s Cross or tube to Russell Sq. From Luton: Thameslink train to King’s Cross then tube to Russell Sq. From town airport: Bus to Canning Town, Docklands Light Railway to Bank, then tube to Russell Square.
