About The Royal Academy, UK

The Royal Academy of Arts is an independent art institution based in Burlington House on Piccadilly, London. It was founded by George III in 1768 to promote painting, architecture, sculpture and printmaking and does the same till now. Around 100 Academicians are working hard in those disciplines. Apart from having programme of internationally renowned exhibitions, The Royal Academy of Arts has also gallery education programmes, debates and seminars. The largest open-submission exhibition of art works for sale in the world is held here every year since 1769. The Royal Academy of Arts is proud of the oldest and one of the best fine-art libraries in Britain.
