About Tower of London, UK

On the north bank of the River Thames, in central London, amazing historical monument found its tranquil place.
Known as the Tower of London, this fortress is a complex of buildings encircled with massive defensive walls and a moat which over 1000 years are part of the British history. The Tower of London was founded by William the Conqueror and played very important role in the life of medieval London, being a fortress, a royal palace, prison for royal and high status prisoners.
