About Warwick, UK
Warwick is the capital of Warwickshire, situated on the Avon 21 miles southeast of Birmingham.
The baronial castle, situated on a rocky eminence above the Avon, is said to have been founded by Elfleda, daughter of King Alfred. In the time of Edward III, it was rebuilt by the Earl of Warwick and his son. Caesar's Tower, the oldest portion of the building, probably dates from the Norman Conquest.
