More freshly it was the setting for a lot of well known films including St. Trinian’s, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and a lot of Hammer House of Horror productions, including Dracula.

Area information

The guesthouse is exactly five mins away from historic Windsor and its many sights, including Windsor Castle, the Royal Theatre, Eton College, Ascot Racecourse, Savill Gardens and Legoland. Windsor provides many other activities, including: boat trips on the Thames; horse and carriage rides around the sights; the Windsor Eye (Summer); ice-skating (Winter) in Alexandra Gardens; and shopping. There are also several bars, restaurants and cafès in the heart. In the surrounding countryside of Bray, you'll find the Michelin-starred Waterside Inn and Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck restaurant. The guesthouse is also just 45 mins from London and twenty mins from Heathrow Airport.

Travel information

Oakley Court is set back from the A308 between Windsor and Maidenhead. London/heathrow to Oakley Court: Exit Junction 6 of the M4. Follow the dual carriageway towards Windsor. Turn left as whether going to Windsor, but at the roundabout below the dual carriageway, turn right onto the A308 towards Maidenhead. Keep going past Windsor Racecourse and the inn is around two miles on the right hand side of the highway. Reading to Oakley Court: Exit Junction 8/9 of the M4. Follow the signs for Maidenhead Central (A308M). At the roundabout, follow the signs for the A308 Windsor. The guesthouse is around two miles on the left hand side of the highway. M40 to Oakley Court: Exit Junction four of the M40 and take the A404 towards Maidenhead. Keep going till you get to the M4 Junction 8/9 roundabout. Then follow 'Reading to Oakley Court' directions.
