The guesthouse has three various apartment kinds meaning that it can provide for most needs. Double apartments are tenderly ornamented in peaceful colours and assure a warm and cozy night’s sleep. These apartments sleep two persons but able to be used as a single with a reduced rate. Twin suites are also decorated with taste in pleasant colours and assure a warm and easy stay. Family suites are ample rooms with a super king-size bed & a single bed. On demand, this suite able to also be used as a triple suite (3 single beds).

Area information

Dalescroft is in the Bishopthorpe Road region on the south-west side of the town where there are restaurants, butiques and hairdressers surrounding. The B&B is directly five hundred meters amble from the River Ouse and the splendour of the historic town of York. The South Bank district of York, well known for the Terry's chocolate factory, is also a short meander away. Other surrounding sights include York Castle Museum, on the premises of the previous York Castle, and Clifford's Tower, part of the remains of the palace.

By Car: - Take the York west approach A1036. - Turn left at the first set of lights. - Go past Tesco on the left towards the downtown. - Travel for one mile (1.6km), passing the racecourse on the right. - Go via the first set of lights then take the right-hand lane. - Turn right into Scarcroft Road. (Kwik-Fit will be on your left). - Follow the highway to where the side streets go up to your right. - You need Russell Street. Go to the upper and turn left; we are the first guesthouse. By Taxi: - Dalescroft is a short cab ride from railway and bus stations. - The local cab company is called Ace. By Bus: - Across the highway from the train station take the multitude 11 bus and ask for Southlands Chapel; this is also Southlands Road.

The B&B is situated in the Bishopthorpe Road district of York, just 400 yards from the gothic town walls. This is a tranquil spot where you are able to garden your auto using the B&B’s free of charge permits and take an exquisite walk along the river into the town. It is only a ten minutes wander to the downtown, where you are sure to enjoy all the sights that this historic town can offer. Dalescroft’s silent but proper location means that the train station, racecourse and all of the city’s facilities are within short distance.
